by Kids Discover

Robert Wadlow, the tallest man in medical history, stood 8 feet, 11.1 inches tall! Born in 1918, he had gigantism, a rare condition in which too much growth hormone makes a child unusually large. It’s often caused by a benign tumor on the pituitary gland, and nowadays it can be treated.
